Red means STOP for NY Giants

Forget the red zone, the 20-yard line might as well be a stop sign for the NY Giants’ offense.

But, compounding the offense’s longstanding issues this season, on Monday night, the NY Giants’ defense essentially gave Brady and the Buccaneers a green light to the end zone on Tampa’s trips inside the 20-yard line.

Entering Monday night, the NY Giants scored touchdowns on just 44 percent of their trips inside the red zone, were held to a field goal on the game’s opening possession.

Conversely, The Buccaneers were 1-for-2 scoring touchdowns inside the 20-yard line, but perhaps even more troubling is how efficient Brady was, finishing 3-for-5 for 23 yards and a touchdown.

As has become typical for the NY Giants’ offense this season, New York finished 1-of-2 inside the red zone, while the Buccaneers had a virtual clear-path, scoring touchdowns on two-of-three-trips inside the 20.
