The NY Giants are facing a familiar foe this week, getting their first crack at the Philadelphia Eagles since Week 17’s debacle last season

The NY Giants are returning home this week. They will take on their NFC East rivals that is the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Giants are coming off a bad 30-10 loss to Tampa Bay, on Monday night. They did not show nearly enough fight or life to have a real shot of winning that game.

New York is now 3-7, and the Eagles sit ahead at 4-6, coming off an impressive win Sunday afternoon over the New Orleans Saints.

The NY Giants split with Philly last year with both home teams taking the wins. New York won the most recent matchup, in November of last year to break an eight-game losing streak to the Birds.

This game should be a close contest. The Giants’ fans in MetLife are going to loudly boo the Eagles and probably the Giants as well.

Here are 3 Bold Predictions for Sunday’s Week 12 NY Giants vs. Eagles Contest:

Bold Prediction #1: NY Giants’ Special Teams Stands Out

The NY Giants have been anything but special on special teams this year.

Graham Gano has been lights out, automatic again after an incredible 2020 season. Everything but Gano has again been a disappointment.

Riley Dixon has not had a great season. That’s now back-to-back seasons with him not giving the Giants any help in the field position battle. He is in serious danger of not coming back next season.

In the return game, the Giants again have offered little-to-nothing. They have no dynamic options to return the ball and after injuries piled up, the team had to go out and sign Pharaoh Cooper off the streets.

This week vs. Philadelphia, look for the NY Giants’ special teams to make a big impact. They haven’t made a positive difference much all year but that will change this week. Whether it’s a big return, maybe a fake, or a big game-changing play, look for something special to come from the special teams.
