NY Giants RT Nate Solder – DUD

This column might be renamed to the NY Giants’ studs, duds, and Nate Solder, in honor of the veteran right tackle’s seemingly permanent placement in this category.

Sunday, against the likes of Eagles defensive linemen Derek Barnett and Fletcher Cox, Solder offered minimal resistance all game.

Solder was absolutely man-handled by Cox on a first quarter sack of Jones, and later Cox blew right by to deliver a punishing hit on Saquon Barkley in the backfield for a loss on New York’s first drive of the third quarter.

At this point, a traffic cone might offer more protection for Jones and the Giants’ backfield than Solder is capable of.
