Round 2, pick No. 37: Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M

The top priority for whoever the NY Giants general manager is this offseason is the same as Gettleman’s was upon arrival; fixing the offensive line.

Depending on veteran center Nick Gates’ recovery from a gruesome leg injury, there’s a very real possibility the NY Giants will need to add four offensive linemen this offseason, between free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft.

Given Will Hernandez’ struggles this season, and the fact that he has never lived up to his second-round billing, Gettleman’s successor would be wise to invest a second-round pick on an interior lineman next spring.

Green is one of the top guards in this year’s class, and he has the versatility to also line up at offensive tackle, if catastrophe strikes. There’s a chance that Green could go as early as Round 1, especially given his dominant performances he’s put on film at 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds.

There might not be a better pairing of need, value, and talent for the NY Giants if Green slides this far.
