The NY Giants will be without Adoree’ Jackson and Aaron Robinson in the secondary against the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon
The NY Giants’ secondary is facing a dire situation ahead of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, as Adoree’ Jackson tested positive for COVID-19.
Giants head coach Joe Judge told reporters prior to Thursday’s practice that Jackson tested positive for COVID-19, and is not vaccinated, which means that he is forced to isolate for the next 10 days. Jackson is officially out for Sunday’s game against Dallas.
Jackson’s availability was unknown, due to injury, but a positive test guarantees that Jackson will be out.
Additionally, the NY Giants’ defensive backfield will be without Aaron Robinson, who also tested positive for COVID-19 and is not vaccinated, either.
As cases spike across the NFL, the NY Giants now have more than seven players who have either tested positive for COVID-19 or been deemed close contacts this week.
It remains to be seen whether second-year safety Xavier McKinney will be able to play, as he was deemed a close contact this week, and has said multiple times that he is not vaccinated.
The NY Giants host the Dallas Cowboys at 1p.m. Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
