RB Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley is still an immensely talented running back.

Barkley is still able to make big plays, and there is always a chance for something great to happen when he steps onto the field.

But, the big play capability has been undermined by the overall lack of production lately.

Barkley has dealt with injuries for nearly the entirety of the season but he hasn’t allowed that to be an excuse for his struggles. But today was not his best showing.

Sunday, Barkley finished the day with 15 rushing attempts that resulted in 50 yards. This averaged out to just 3.3 yards per carry. Barkley was also somewhat of a nonfactor in the passing game. He caught four passes for 24 yards, but 15 of those yards came on one reception.

Barkley’s struggles can very well be attributed to the NY Giants’ poor offensive line, so all blame cannot fall onto him. There is still an opportunity for him to turn around a somewhat forgettable season for the former second-overall pick.
