NY Giants CB James Bradberry

Bradberry might be a surprising name to fall on this list, but given the NY Giants’ issues with lack of cap space, he might need to dramatically improve over the final month to justify his hefty cap number next season.

Through the first 13 games, opposing quarterbacks have a 106.6 passer rating when targeting Bradberry and receivers are averaging 11.5 yards per reception against him.

A bit of a dropoff from Bradberry’s 2020 Pro Bowl campaign.

Bradberry remains the NY Giants’ best cornerback, but carrying a cap number pushing $22.8 million for an organization aiming to jumpstart a rebuild in 2022 might be cumbersome. THrough in the fact that releasing Bradberry would create $13.5 million in cap space, while triggering an $8.63 million dead-money charge, and moving on might be worthwhile for the NY Giants.
