The Washington Football Team

The Football team has put together a talented, but top-heavy roster.

Washington has developed arguably the league’s top defensive line with young stars in Chase Young, Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat, and Daron Payne. They also have solid pieces on the offensive side of the ball in Antonio Gibson and Terry McLaurin.

While much of the Washington roster could look different in 2022, the biggest change could come at the quarterback position. Taylor Heinicke is the current QB1 and has looked solid at points throughout this season.

But, Heinicke is already 28 years old, and there are some issues within his game.

So, could Washington choose to find a younger quarterback in this year’s draft? It looks like that’s a real possibility. And there is one in particular who could be a perfect fit.

Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral could be the perfect centerpiece for this team. He is able to make plays on the ground and has a big time arm. He finished his final regular season at Ole Miss with 20 passing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns. He also had just four interceptions.

If Washington chooses to find a new QB1, my pick would be Corral. He plays with a confidence that would fit in well with the football team and a trio of Corral, Gibson, and McLaurin could cause problems for the rest of the NFC East.
