If the NY Giants have a new general manager this offseason, the roster could look quite different, and might need to be rebuilt via trades due to limited cap space

The NY Giants are a team stuck in the middle.

New York has some big-name players on both sides of the ball. But, the Giants lack the necessary depth to stay relevant when these players aren’t able to suit up.

Injuries have derailed this season, and we still haven’t seen this team at full strength.

But, in order to make a legitimate jump next season, some changes will have to be made. Whether it be putting an end to the Daniel Jones era and going after an All-Pro quarterback, or taking a flier on a young offensive lineman, the front office has decisions to make that could alter this franchise.

And they’ll have to make some hard choices.

Here are three potential trade targets for the NY Giants this offseason

Andre Dillard OT, Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles tackle Andre Dillard could be the perfect young player for the NY Giants to take a chance on. The former 2019 first-round pick has struggled to find his rhythm in the NFL but he has made improvements.

Dillard currently has a 69.5 grade from PFF and has made steps to becoming a better pass blocker. He has also gotten lost in the shuffle in Philadelphia. Jordan Mailata has locked down the left tackle spot and Lane Johnson is cemented at right tackle.

While the Giants have their left tackle of the future in Andrew Thomas, the rest of the line is no guarantee. At just 26-years old, it may still be too early to give up on Dillard. A change of scenery could give the 6-foot-5 tackle the opportunity he needs to flourish. In this scenario, the potential reward is worth the risk.
