The NY Giants have the chance to play some young players, to evaluate their futures, beginning Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Eagles

With the NY Giants sitting at 4-10, their season is seemingly over. With that in mind, it makes sense that the NY Giants begin to give some of their younger players some action.

Sunday afternoon, the Giants face off against the Eagles, and with multiple players getting hit with injuries, or getting put on the COVID list, it is time for some young players to rise to the occasion and play some pivotal roles.

Here are 3 young NY Giants players who will play key roles in this weeks matchup against the Eagles:

QB Jake Fromm:

After three poor performances in a row from Mike Glennon in which he threw five interceptions to only two TD’s in said games, backup QB Jake Fromm was inserted into the NY Giants’ final drive against the Cowboys last week.

In this drive, Fromm completed 6 of his 12 passes for 82 yards, pretty solid numbers for a QB who had never played in a regular-season game.

With it being likely that Fromm will start his first regular-season NFL game this week, he needs to prove that he can at least be a solid backup QB for the NY Giants, because at this rate Mike Glennon is no longer cutting it.

Fromm is facing a pretty solid defense this week, with the Eagles defense ranking 11th in passing yards allowed, 17th in passing TD’s allowed, and 17th in net yards allowed per pass attempt. If Fromm can play well this week, he will likely secure his starting spot for the rest of the season and possibly become the NY Giants backup QB for next season.
