NY Giants offensive line: D-

This was yet another horrendous game for the NY Giants offensive line, which seems to get worse and worse each week.

Simply, the NY Giants offensive line provided almost no room for either running back to run, while also being a detriment in the passing game, allowing two sacks and five QB hits.

As usual, the only offensive lineman for the NY Giants who looked even somewhat decent was left tackle Andrew Thomas, who despite having a breakout year, did not look that great today.

Outside of Thomas, the usual lineup of Matt Skura, Billy Price, Will Hernandez, and Matt Peart, could not help the NY Giants get anything going. Opening up almost zero holes for either of the NY Giants running backs to go through.

Things really began to go downhill when new starting right tackle Matt Peart, who was not playing very well beforehand, went down with a scary leg injury, this injury ended up being a sprained knee thank goodness.

After Peart went down the NY Giants subbed in Korey Cunningham at right tackle, which at first was questionable considering they elevated Isaiah Wilson from the practice squad, but it seems the NY Giants are looking to transition Wilson to guard, as that is where he was at during pre-game warmups.

Cunningham did not play particularly well, surrendering a sack as seen here:

On this play, Cunningham gets beat off the edge badly by Josh Sweat, who then hit Jake Fromm and caused a fumble that was then recovered by Kadarius Toney.

As for the rest of the lineman, it was bas business per usual, not allowing any room for the NY Giants running backs to run.

A good example of that is on this play here:

The NY Giants ran a draw to Saquon Barkley, who immediately after being handed the ball, was hit in the backfield by Josh Sweat. The main culprit on this play was stud offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, who got beat badly on the inside and allowed sweat to make the tackle.

This poor play by the offensive line occurred throughout the entire game, being one of the biggest reasons as to why the NY Giants could not get anything going offensively.
