These are the NY Giants’ 5 best quarterback options in 2022

This was supposed to be a pivotal season for Daniel Jones, his third since being chosen No. 6 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, both in terms of his development and for the NY Giants to evaluate his future.

But, a neck injury has derailed much of Jones’ 2021 campaign, and his future with the Giants is very much in doubt.

If the season ended today, the NY Giants would own a pair of selections in the top-10 picks of next spring’s NFL Draft, and a major question at the most important position in sports.

Should the NY Giants roll the dice and remain committed to Jones? Would the organization be better served trading for a veteran such as Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson? What about restarting the clock by drafting a quarterback high in the first-round next spring?

Here are the NY Giants’ five best quarterback options for 2022 and beyond:

1) Daniel Jones

Jones is the most obvious and realistic option.

He will be going into his fourth year and it would seem unlikely that the NY Giants would give up on him at this point.

Jones has shown that he can be an average quarterback in this league. In Jones’ career so far, he 8,398 yards, 45 touchdowns, 29 interceptions and has a rating of 84.8. He is currently dealing with a neck strain that he injured against Philadelphia and it might be a season-ending injury.

Jones might not be the future long-term quarterback for this team, especially if they hire a new general manager this upcoming off-season but, we shall see. it is probably a long shot that the NY Giants do get another quarterback this off-season unless they really want to make a “push” but unfortunately, the team isn’t quite there yet
