4. Jimmy Garoppolo
The 49ers haven’t said anything about moving on from Jimmy G, but it’s a possibility this off-season.
San Francisco drafted Trey Lance with the third overall pick in the draft this year, so they obviously think Garoppolo isn’t the long-term answer and will want to move on at some point.
Garoppolo and head coach Joe Judge know each other from being together in New England, and the clock is ticking for Daniel Jones since he’s more than halfway done with his third season and hasn’t shown that he’s the guy.
If the 49ers do move on from Jimmy G, it wouldn’t surprise me if the NY Giants went after him. He’s definitely not a wow quarterback but would slightly be an improvement to what they have now.
