Neither Daniel Jones Nor Saquon Barkley has Improved or Become the Identity of the Offense.

Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkleys’ constant disappointments week in and week out of the 2021 season have been as frustrating a storyline there is for this football team.

The Giants’ offense has become nearly unwatchable. Saquon hasn’t scored in over a month, neither has any other Giants’ receiver or running back. Both Saquon and Jones missed time last year. Saquon virtually missed all of 2020 with a torn ACL suffered in Week 2. Jones missed key games at the end of last year and came back too soon from injury and clearly wasn’t himself and got himself reinjured.

Going into this season, this was looked at as make-or-break years for both players. By year three, you should know what you have in your quarterback regardless of whatever circumstances or obstacles holding him back. Jones has gotten hurt running the ball all three seasons, and Saquon has now missed time 3 years in a row as well.

Jones and/or Saquon were counted on to lead this offense to great heights this season. Neither the passing game nor the run game has had any life at all with their struggles on the offensive line and middling talent all over the offense. Injuries haven’t helped but neither player has risen to the challenge and overcome all the negatives.
