NY Giants quarterbacks:
After a very disappointing start from Jake Fromm last week against the Eagles, he was benched for the man he replaced in Mike Glennon, who also has had a very disappointing season.
However, In a questionable decision, Joe Judge announced that he plans on using both QB’s this week, it is currently unknown who will officially start this week.
This move is not ideal as both of these QB’s do not play a similar style, which will make it somewhat difficult for the offense to work smoothly, not that it did before. It will be interesting to see which QB performs better, however, this week is likely to be a rough one for both Fromm and Glennon.
Facing a Chicago Bears defense that has given up the 4th most passing TD’s, while oddly ranking 29th in passing yards allowed, both of these QB’s will have an interesting time going at this defense.
This week will seemingly serve as a testing point for both QB’s to attempt to prove they can be the NY Giants backup QB going into next season, however, after watching each of them play the last 4 weeks, I’d rather not have both of them at this point.
If either of these QB’s significantly outperform the other, they will likely earn the starting spot for the final game of the season next week against Washington.
While the current QB situation for the NY Giants is obviously not ideal, with the season being over seemingly before it started, it may be better to lose out for the rest of the season in order to prepare for next year and get higher draft picks.
