NY Giants Edge, Azeez Ojulari

Through the first 12 games of this season, Azeez Ojulari was making his case for defensive rookie of the year. Unfortunately, his somewhat slowing down paired alongside the steady play of Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has probably cost Ojulari the award.

Nevertheless, Ojulari has still proven to be a true talent.

The entirety of the NFL made a mistake when they let the former Georgia Bulldog slip to the 50th pick in the draft.

Through 16 games, Ojulari has made an impact across the stat sheet. He has recorded 24 tackles, 39 total pressures, and nine sacks.

Ojulari is a threat in both the run and pass game. His mix of speed and strength could eventually be what turns him into one of the league’s elite edge rushers.

The Giants’ defensive front is full of big-name players, yet Ojulari is arguably the one making the biggest impact on a regular basis. He has already played more snaps than any other edge rusher from his class, by a large margin. If Ojulari is able to continue to grow as a player, he will be a major building block for this Giants team.
