The New York Giants can’t afford another early-round miss in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The New York Giants are going to be one of the main figures in the 2022 NFL draft.

With two top-10 picks seemingly locked in and another pick in the top-40, the Giants are in position to capitalize on a variety of young talent.

Whoever the New York Giants’ GM is making these picks must do a good job of balancing the right fit and the team needs to bring him to New York.

The Giants need more young talent to continue building a foundation from the ground up.

New York is set to have nine picks in this draft. They have two first-rounders (Bears), their own second-rounder, two third-round picks (Dolphins), the Bears’ fourth-rounder, their own fifth, and a Chiefs’ fifth-rounder, and one sixth-rounder.

Look for the New York Giants to get creative and move up or down in different spots over the three-day draft period.

It’s early, but never too early for mock drafts.

Here’s our latest New York Giants 7-round mock draft projection:

Round 1, #5 Overall: C Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa

With the NY giants’ first pick of the draft, let’s help out the offense and take a plug-and-play center from Iowa.

Tyler Linderbaum is being touted as a generational, once-in-a-decade center player at his position. There are few 6’2, 290-pound individuals who move as gracefully as Linderbaum who can also carry a mean streak that’s hard to match.

Linderbaum is a two-time 1st-Team All-Big 10 lineman in 2020 and 2021. He also took home the Rimington Trophy awarded to the nation’s top center and he was a Unanimous All-America this past season.

Linderbaum is a physical player who can help change the identity and DNA of this broken NY Giants’ offensive line. It’s just a start, but something has to give with the NY Giants’ disheveled offense.
