Another disappointing New York Giants season has come to an end, with the 2022 NFL Draft likely to be the team’s most likely avenue to add talent this offseason

The New York Giants 2021 season has finally come to a close.

A 4-13 finish has made this arguably the most forgettable year for this team in franchise history.

With that being said, it can be expected that the Giants will undergo major changes in the coming days. Several changes in the front office will be made and many big name players may not be back for next season.

A potential turning for this team will be how they choose to approach this upcoming draft. They currently have nine picks, with two being in the first 10 selections. If done properly, this draft could help correct the path of this team and send them into a direction back towards relevancy.

With holes throughout this team, it is expected that some of these picks will become day one starters for this team. They will be put into positions where they will be expected to make plays as soon as they step onto the field. Here are five positions that the Giants must target in the draft.

Offensive Tackle

The New York Giants have already secured their left tackle of the future in Andrew Thomas. But now they must lock in a right tackle. In all likelihood, Nate Solder has played his last game in a Giants uniform and the team will need to find his replacement.

Luckily, this 2022 class appears to be deep at the tackle position.

There are several elite prospects who could find themselves in this role for the Giants.

Whether the Giants choose to use one of their top picks and select a prospect such as Alabama’s Evan Neal or NC State’s Ikem Ekwonu, or use a mid-round pick, this player will more than likely become the starter. The Giants have had a revolving door at the position over the past few years but by solidifying this position, they are helping this team take the next step.
