Safety

The Giants have started to develop a very talented secondary. With veterans littered throughout and young players in Xavier McKinney and Julian Love playing at a high level, this unit is already in a good spot. But added depth could help them become even better,

Both Love and McKinney haven’t been limited to just their safety positions as they have played throughout the secondary. Another young player at the safety position would allow for more flexibility for both of those players.

And while McKinney should be a starter on this defense, that might not be the case for Love. But having a player of Love’s talent coming off of the bench could be great for this team. Safety prospects such as Illinois’s Kerby Joseph or Northwestern’s Brandon Joseph could be interesting options if the Giants choose to address this position.
