Brian Flores:

With the Miami Dolphins shockingly firing Brian Flores on Monday morning, the New York Giants should make it a priority to attempt to hire him if they decide to move on from Joe Judge.

In two seasons with Miami, Brian Flores had a record of 24-25, while on paper this is not the best record when you consider that the Dolphins nearly made the playoffs in consecutive seasons while having a roster that is far from ideal for a playoff team, Flores was clearly doing something right. The fact that the Dolphins even had a winning record with their current roster should be a testament to Flores’s coaching.

Similar to Joe Judge, Flores also comes from the Bill Belichick coaching tree, except unlike Joe Judge, Flores has shown promise as a head coach, bringing a below-average Miami Dolphins team very close to the playoffs in consecutive years.

While Flores has had some questionable moments, such as the 1-7 start to the season this year, this should not deter the NY Giants from considering him as a potential head-coaching candidate.
