Linebacker Kyzir White
Chargers linebacker Kyzir White could be an intriguing option for the New York Giants.
White, a fourth-round pick in the 2020 draft, will be 26 when next season starts. He is also hitting free agency in a year where there are several elite linebackers also hitting the market. This could lead to White’s stock falling and leading him to sign a smaller deal.
The 2021 season saw White finally break out. He appeared in all 17 games for the Chargers. He finished the season with 144 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and one sack. He was also effective in both run and pass defense, which saw him intercepting two passes and forcing two fumbles.
White would immediately be an upgrade to a defense that desperately needs help at linebacker. His production would also help offset the potential loss of Blake Martinez. If he is able to produce at a level similar to what he did this season, he could become a star at his position.
