Dan Quinn was believed to be among the New York Giants’ finalists for their head coaching vacancy, but will instead return to the Dallas Cowboys

With numerous head coaching jobs still unfilled, Dan Quinn has finally made his decision: to return to the  Dallas Cowboys.

This decision comes as a shock to many as Quinn interviewed for multiple head coaching jobs, including the New York Giants’ vacancy.

He was thought to be a finalist for numerous jobs and was brought back in for several second interviews. With both the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears both opting to go with other head coaching candidates, Quinn has made his choice to go back to Dallas.

Quinn has had a long and successful career in the NFL. He has reached the Super Bowl with the Atlanta Falcons and has proven to be one of the most intriguing minds in football.

He also played a vital role in helping turn around the Cowboys defense. The unit finished as the seventh best defense in football this past season, compared to the 28th the prior year. Quinn also utilized rookie linebacker Micah Parsons in a way that other coordinators may not have been able to do.

Come this time next year, Quinn will undoubtedly be a hot name within the coaching carousel yet again.

This still leaves the Giants with a need for a coach. While they are expected to make a/
]\decision in the coming days, this is still one less candidate for them to choose from. Brian Daboll, Brian Flores, and current defensive coordinator Patrick Graham are all options to step in and take the job.
