3 Reasons New York Giants hit it out of the park with Brian Daboll hiring

The New York Giants landed their top target all along, hiring Brian Daboll as the next head coach Friday night
The New York Giants have finally found their new head coach. This comes in the hiring of former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who was arguably the biggest name on the coaching market this offseason.
The hiring of Daboll, while exciting, does not come as a shock to many.
Outside of the Miami Dolphins, who were also in the running for Daboll, the Giants were the clear favorite.
The connection and history between Daboll and new New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen undoubtedly played a role in Daboll choosing to come to New York.
While Daboll rose to prominence as the OC of the Bills, he has long established himself within the football world before that. Between helping lead Alabama to a national championship win, where he coached both Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa; or being a vital piece in Josh Allen becoming Josh Allen, Daboll has done more than enough to get Giants fans excited.
But what exactly makes Brian Daboll the right man for the New York Giants job? Let’s take a look.
Fresh Offensive Mind
Between failing to reach the endzone, to even failing to move down the field, the New York Giants’ offense has remained stagnant for some time. This should all change with the arrival of Daboll.
Since Daboll took over as the Bills offensive coordinator in 2018, the offense was revitalized. The offense jumped from 30th in scoring in his first season, all the way to third this past season. They averaged 28.4 PPG, 13 more than the Giants.
The creativity that Daboll brings is what makes this such an intriguing hire. The Bills offense often opened up the playbook.
The creativity involved with the offensive play calling would be a drastic but welcomed change considering what the Giants have done in recent seasons.
There is also a chance that Daboll brings Buffalo Bills passing-game coordinator on to become his new offensive coordinator. This pairing could help this offense reach a new level. And it could also help utilize the many weapons that they have on offense.
