Round 4, pick No. 108: DL Curtis Brooks, Cincinnati

With both Danny Shelton and Austin Johnson’s contracts expiring this off-season, the New York Giants should look towards the draft to replace the two veterans. A good candidate to replace the two is Curtis Brooks out of Cincinnati.

Coming in at 6-foot-2 and 285 pounds, Brooks was dominant this season at Cincinnati, tallying 50 combined tackles, nine sacks, six QB  hits, 28 QB hurries, 12 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.

Brooks is both a tremendous pass rusher and run stopper, playing at multiple spots on the defensive line, he would fit into the NY Giants defensive scheme well.

Using his great power and hand technique, Curtis Brooks can make life a nightmare for opposing offensive lineman.

Playing the roll of a swiss army knife on the defensive line, Curtis Brooks provides the flexibility the Giants need.

One of Brooks’ biggest issues, however, is that he sometimes lacks an array of pass rush moves, deciding to rely on his strength and hands far too often, this causes him to lack some consistency, however, if he can learn some moves during the off-season, he has the potential to become the star.
