With the announcement of legendary QB Tom Brady retiring finally becoming official today, several people took to Twitter to both congratulate and troll arguably the greatest QB of all time.

Tom Brady retired as quite possibly the greatest player in NFL history, shattering almost every record a QB could have while winning 7 Super Bowls in 10 appearances.

However, he was never able to topple the New York Giants and potential HOF QB Eli Manning during the two times they faced in the Super Bowl.

Several Giants fans were a part of the trolling crowd, including NBC New York, who had this to say about Brady’s retirement:

While obviously, Tom Brady is the most successful player in NFL history, it is always good to see New Yorkers, especially the media, have their fun trolling the esteemed QB.

It is not always common to see official media sites joke around or troll professional athletes, so to see one step up in the best way possible has to make you laugh.

(But, Eli Manning is one of two quarterbacks — the other being Nick Foles, to have beaten Brady in a Super Bowl, so the NBC affiliate hit this nail on the head)
