2019 NFL Draft: Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky/Jacksonville Jaguars

With the Jaguars looking to improve upon their pass rush, they decided to select Josh Allen out of Kentucky with the 7th overall pick, and boy has he shown off his star potential since then.

Allen burst onto the scene his rookie year, setting a new franchise rookie record with 10.5 sacks while also making the Pro-Bowl, it seemed as if the sky was the limit for the young edge rusher.

However, Allen’s sophomore season would end abruptly after he suffered a knee injury during a week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers that would cause him to miss the rest of the season.

Coming back from this injury, Allen has bounced back well, tallying a career-high 71 combined tackles, 7.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 14 QB hits in 16 games played.

If Allen can keep up this level of success, he will be one of the top pass rushers in the NFL for many years to come, and if the Jaguars decide to pair Allen with one of Kayvon Thibodeaux or Aidan Hutchinson, we could see one of the best pass-rushing duos in the entire NFL.

Allen has shown tons of potential as an edge rusher in his first 3 seasons in the NFL, if he can continue to improve upon his strengths I have no doubt he will be one of the best pass rushers in the NFL within the next couple of years.
