The New York Giants secondary is full of seasoned veterans, but there’s no telling which of them will be on the roster come next season. If the New York Giants choose to not address the secondary in the early round of the draft, there will be many quality prospects still available in the later rounds. One of them being Cincinnati cornerback Coby Bryant.

Bryant proved to be one of the best cornerbacks in college football. While he spent his career lined up alongside arguably the draft’s best corner in Ahmad Gardner, this just means that Bryant was targeted even more. And he handled this task better than most would.

Bryant finished his collegiate career with nine interceptions, 35 defended passes, and 170 total tackles.

At 6-1, Bryant has the size to keep up with most receivers. His game IQ and the pure fluidity that he plays the position allows him to handle his own, regardless of who he is up against. This was seen in the college football semi-final where he allowed just two receptions against Alabama.

If the Giants find themselves in a  position where they need to address the corner position, Bryant could be a legitimate option. He has the ability to be an immediate playmaker on the defensive side of the ball.
