Marquis Hayes, LG Oklahoma

Oklahoma lineman Marquis Hayes could be viewed as one of the best guard prospects in this year’s class. He proved to be capable of being effective in both run and pass blocking sets. At 6-5 and 342 pounds, Hayes has the size to hold his own against any defensive lineman he may face.

In his final three seasons at Oklahoma, Hayes played exclusively left guard. Over that time, he allowed just five sacks and three quarterback hits.

Hayes excelled in his run blocking while in college. His ability to get to the second level and help create space on the run was one of his best attributes.

While there are still some technical issues within Hayes’ game, he has the potential. His pure strength alone will give him a legitimate chance. If his pass blocking can improve, he could quickly become a great all-around guard.
