Evan Neal, OT Bama

Alabama’s Evan Neal may be the most versatile prospect in this year’s class.

As a three year starter at Alabama, Neal spent significant time at three different positions along the line. He is regarded as the top tackle prospect of this year’s group.

After a rough start to his 2021 season, Neal turned it around, cementing himself as an elite prospect. Neal finished with an 85.8 PFF grade. He also finished the season with the third-most snaps played among any FBS offensive lineman.

When looking at the versatility that comes with a prospect such as Neal, you have to look at how productive he has been at each position he’s played. During the 2019 season, Neal was Alabama’s starting left guard. He recorded 723 snaps at the position and finished with a 71.2 PFF grade.

His 2020 season saw him transition to right tackle. He played 765 snaps at the position and finished with a PFF grade of 83.7; a significant jump compared to his 2019 season. The 2021 season saw Neal make yet another transition, this time to left tackle.

Neal’s ability to not only play different positions, but to also excel in doing such is something that should interest the Giants. WIth gaps along the offensive line, Neal could be a high level starter at multiple.

At 6-foot-7 and 350 pounds, Neal has the size to be an elite talent on the offensive line. Pairing him with Andrew Thomas could create one of the best duos in the NFL.
