Tyler Linderbaum, C Iowa

Tyler Linderbaum is regarded as the best center prospect that the NFL has seen in years, His performance while at Iowa has only solidified these claims.

In his three collegiate seasons, Linderbaum played 2317 snaps. During this time, he allowed just two sacks, six quarterback hits, and 11 quarterback hurries. He also finished as PFF’s highest rated center for two straight years. He finished the 2021 season with a 95.4 offensive rating, the highest of any offensive lineman.

At six-foot-three and 289 pounds, Linderbaum may be seen as slightly undersized. But Jason Kelce was held in the same regard and his career turned out just fine. As the draft process continues to heat up, the comparisons between Kelce and Linderbaum will only keep growing.

From a playing standpoint, Linderbaum may be the most technically sound prospect in this year’s group. There are nearly no critiques to be found in his game and he should perform at a high level from day one.

Much like the rest of their offensive line, the New York Giants will more than likely have a hole to fill at the center position. Taking a center with an early pick could be a heavily scrutinized decision, but Linderbaum could make the decision worth it.
