DeMarvin Neal, Edge Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s DeMarvin Neal proved to be one of college football’s most versatile defensive lineman. In his three years as a starter, he played across the entire defensive line.

Neal’s 2021 season didn’t go exactly as planned but he is still one of the most prolific edge rushers in this year’s group. He finished his final season with just a 70.3 PFF grade.

While he filled the stat sheet with nine sacks, five quarterback hits, and 23 total pressures. But his season was also much more inconsistent than what he had done previously.

While Neal’s final collegiate season left something to be desired, his 2020 season showcased exactly what he could do. He was one of the more explosive rushers in college football. He also posted a PFF grade of 88.3, the highest of his college career.

The New York Giants defense could use a player who can freely move around their defensive front. At 6-4 and 290, Neal has the height and weight combination to be effective. If Neal can be as productive as he was in 2020, the Giants could get a steal in the second round, if he is still on the board.
