New York Giants draft: 10 players Joe Schoen, Brian Daboll should target

Trey McBride, TE Colorado st
The New York Giants will more than likely have a very real need at the tight end position.
With Evan Engram being a free agent, and with a potential release of Kyle Rudolph, the Giants tight end group will be left barren.
This is where Colorado St tight end Trey McBride could enter the picture. He is coming off of arguably the greatest collegiate season of a tight end ever. His 2021 season saw him as the focal point of the Colorado St offense. He recorded 91 receptions and went for just over 1100 receiving yards.
The highlight of his season came against Toledo. McBride recorded 109 of the team’s 110 receiving yards.
With his combination of size and speed, McBride is able to stretch the field out in a way that no other tight end in college football can. This should translate to the NFL.
If the Giants do plan to incorporate things that have worked for Daniel Jones in the past, then McBride could be the perfect addition to this offense. A deep threat tight end could be another strong piece to add to this offense.
