If the NY Giants trade back in Round 1, They should target these 3 players:
Trading back could be smart for the New York Giants, they could target different players.
The New York Giants are in a strong position to capitalize on the 2022 NFL Draft, as an overdue rebuild begins.
New York has some of the top draft capital out of 32 teams, with two top-10 overall picks, multiple picks in three rounds, and high picks in each round across the board. The Giants added some exciting players in Rounds 1 and 2 last year that resulted in Kadarius toney and Azeez Ojulari. Both players came to East Rutherford and did some exciting things that they can hopefully build off to further improve for year two and beyond.
This formula could come into play again this year.
The New York Giants have some serious ammunition in the top 10 with picks 5 and 7 overall. They can trade back for a QB-needy team, they can trade up if somebody falls they are in love with, and they could also sit back and stay where they are.
Trading back and staying in the first half or so of the 1st round with either #5 or #7 overall could pay massive dividends long-term. The Giants need as much talent as they can right now and stocking up more picks in their draft chest is the best way to hit on more players.
