The New York Giants could surprise people in 2022 according to one NFL coach, maybe even emerging as a sleeper Super Bowl threat
The New York Giants are heading into a new era in 2022 and beyond.
New York has added another new head coach, in Brian Daboll, who will be in sync with their brand new General Manager, Joe Schoen.
Both sides of the ball will be spearheaded by new Coordinators who will bring in different schemes and different faces to a Giants franchise that has fallen on hard times over the past decade.
Daboll and Schoen have their work cut out for them this offseason.
The New York Giants’ new regime needs to trim the fat off their existing roster to make space to fit their budget along with finding players in free agency and the draft.
Despite this, not all things are bad in New York Giants’ land right now.
New York has some promising young players combined with proven veterans who just need to stay healthy and find a way to come together.
In fact, according to FanSided National NFL Insider Matt Lombardo, one NFL coach believes the New York Giants are closer to success than most think.
"“The Giants are going to win 10 games this year,” an NFL coach says. “They aren’t built to make a run in the playoffs yet, but sometimes it’s just about getting in and in that division, they have a real chance.”"
The New York Giants are going into 2022 with another season full of uncertainty looming around the entire NFC East. All four teams have their own legitimate issues and problems that leave the NFC East again the most wide-open and uncertain in football.
Even if the team doesn’t experience much success in the playoffs, they finally need another winning season. Getting to the playoffs is a hard thing to do in the NFL (as proven by the Giants for the past decade).
The New York Giants need to taste that winning feeling again in order to get to the level they need to be under their new leadership.
