LB Chad Muma, Wyoming:

Chad Muma is a must-draft prospect for the New York Giants.

Muma’s his ability to succeed in both run stopping and pass coverage snaps is something the New York Giants desperately need at the LB position.

Coming in at 6-foot-3 and 242 pounds, Muma put up some truly insane stats this year at Wyoming, tallying 142 total tackles, 2 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 17 QB hurries in 13 games played this season.

However, due to a lack of competition played against, Muma is likely to fall into the 2nd-3rd round, which is somewhat understandable.

Despite this lack of competition, Muma’s film shows his potential to be a star in this league, as he possesses great IQ to diagnose plays, is tremendous at disengaging from blockers to make a play, and has shown potential in pass coverage, gaining a pass coverage grade of 77.7 per, PFF.

The New York Giants need new personnel at the linebacker position, as players like Tae Crowder and Reggie Ragland simply aren’t going to cut it anymore.

Muma’s tools will translate at the next level very well, whether it is his IQ or his ability to make plays, I believe he will be a very solid starter for the NY Giants if they decide to draft him.
