Byron Pringle, Wide Receiver

The 2021 season served as somewhat of a breakout for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Byron Pringle. He reached career highs across the board and had a much bigger role within the offense.

Pringle finished the regular season recording 42 receptions, 568 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. During the Chiefs postseason run, Pringle emerged as a real threat within the offense. On just 17 targets, he recorded 12 receptions and three touchdowns. These three touchdowns placed Pringle as the third all-time leading touchdown scorer in postseason franchise history.

While with the Chiefs, Pringle was often utilized both in the slot and out wide. He was effective in both areas of the field and often relied on his speed to make a big play.

Pringle could bring added depth to the New York Giants’ wide receiver core while also contributing to their special teams unit. Pringle served as the kick returner for the Chiefs and could take on the same role for the Giants.

A playmaker like this may not be a top-three receiver for the Giants, but the depth would be a great addition. Pringle has proven that he can make a big play and step up when needed.

With a wide receiving core that is as injury-plagued as the Giants have been in recent seasons, Pringle could step into a bigger role if necessary.
