Connor Williams, Guard

PFF Projected Deal: 3 yrs — $6.67m avg/yr

Cowboys offensive lineman Connor Williams could be an intriguing option for the New York Giants.

Williams, who has spent his first four seasons as both a rotational piece and as a starter for the Cowboys, has shown potential at the left guard position.

After two somewhat underwhelming seasons, Williams has become a valuable player along the offensive line. In 2020 and 2021, he was among the highest-rated players in the NFL. He finished this past season as the 11th ranked guard according to PFF.

When watching Williams, he has proven to be reliable in both run blocking and pass blocking. He allowed just one sack this past season while playing 948 offensive snaps.

The biggest flaw in his game is the number of penalties caused by him. He finished with the second-most in the NFL this past season with 15. 11 of his penalties were holding calls which was an area of his game that he had struggled with in the past.

In his first three seasons, Williams was never penalized more than six times in a single year. Given that his penalty promises were limited to just to last season, Williams has all the makings of a solid player at the guard position. With his projected contract, he would be the perfect candidate for the Giants.
