Raheem Mostert, Running Back

PFF Projected Deal: 1 yrs — $1.75m avg/yr

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert could be one of the most underrated signings of this year’s free-agent group. Mostert, while just a month away from turning 30 years old, has played just 62 career games since entering the league in 2015.

After suffering a torn ACL in the first quarter of the first game of the season, Mostert will look to return in a big way this season. Due to his injury history, a cheap, team-friendly deal could be what leads Mostert to the Giants.

When available and ready to go, Mostert is a proven rusher. He has averaged nearly six yards per carry throughout his career while having 337 rushing attempts. He has also recorded 2315 yards from scrimmage while never being the true RB1 on his team.

Mostert could serve as a solid RB2 behind Saquon Barkley. Given his experience and big-play capability, he would be a great addition to the roster.

With the recent release of Devontae Booker, the Giants will have to address the running back position in some way, either through the draft or through free agency. If free agency is the route they take, Mostert could be a solid option.
