Jacoby Brisset

Jacoby Brisset could be the perfect player to step into the vacant backup role for the Giants. Over the past three seasons, Brisset has appeared in 37 games and started in 20. In the games that he has started, he has a record of 10-11.

Brisset has carved out a solid role for himself in the NFL. He has also consistently produced on the field when given opportunities. He has recorded 49 total touchdowns and 7742 passing yards throughout his 60 career appearances.

This past season Brisset was given the starting job of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on multiple occasions. In the five games he started, he recorded a 2-3 record. In total, he played in 11 games last season. He was on the field for 376 total snaps. In this time, he threw for 1283 passing yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions. He added 83 rushing yards, one rushing touchdowns, and three fumbles.

Brisset has generally played good football when he is on the field. He has accounted for just 32 career turnovers while often playing on mediocre teams.

Bringing Brisset in as QB2 offers a solid safety blanket if Jones is forced to miss time at any point. Given Brisset is obtainable on a good and affordable deal, the Giants could be a great fit for the six-year veteran.
