Teddy Bridgewater
Teddy Bridgewater could very well find himself in a starting role with a team next season. Given the chance that he is willing to step into a backup role, the Giants could be a great fit.
There is even an opportunity to become a starter with this team if Jones struggles at any point and they opt to give their backup a chance.
Bridgewater has been effective when playing as the starting quarterback. Given his performance last season, Bridgewater has proven that he is a reliable option. In his 14 starts last season, he led the Broncos to a 7-7 record. He threw for 3052 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. While not being known as a rusher, he also surpassed 100 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns on the ground.
Bridgewater has a career record of 33-30 when starting and has his fair share of big games. He could be seen as the perfect backup quarterback given his history. He is good enough to keep a team afloat and can go out and win you a game.
At just 29 years old. Bridgewater still has good football left in the tank. He can play a role in the success of a team even without being their starter. If anything, he is simply a good addition to a locker room and brings a strong veteran presence. If the Giants want a strong backup who could also give it a go as a starter, Bridgewater could be the perfect option.
