OG Ed Ingram, LSU:

Ed Ingram is one of the more underrated offensive lineman in this year’s draft class, while he certainly isn’t a top-notch lineman, like some of the players listed, he still has the potential to carve himself out a very solid career in the NFL.

Coming in at 6-foot-3 and 307 pounds, Ingram played very well this season at LSU, only allowing two sacks, one QB hit, and eight QB hurries in 484 pass-blocking snaps. Alongside this, Ingram also gained a pass-blocking grade of 82.6, alongside a run-blocking grade of 68.6 per, PFF.

There is, however, one issue that stands out with his game, with that being his ability as a run blocker.

Ingram is a very solid run blocker, better than solid in fact, but he tends to over-extend and dip his head at times in the run game, which can lead to him ending up on the ground or leaving room for defensive linemen to just go around him. This is something that can be fixed with a good offensive line coach, however, it is still something that must be noted.

Now onto the good parts of Ingram’s game, of which there are many.

For starters, Ingram has excellent hand technique, this due in part to his ridiculous 6’9 7/8 wingspan, this gives him the ultimate reach advantage against his opponents. Also, outside of Ingram’s lunging issue, he is a very good run blocker, whether it be at the first or second level. Alongside these two, Ingram also is great in pass-blocking snaps, using his great footwork and hand techniques to make life a nightmare for opposing defenders.

While there is a decent chance that Ingram is drafted in the second round, there is still a possibility that he slips into the 3rd round, if this ends up being the case, the New York Giants and Joe Schoen should heavily consider drafting him.
