OL Darian Kinnard, Kentucky:

Similar to Daniel Faalele, Darian Kinnard could become an option at tackle if the NY Giants decide to not select a tackle within the first round.

Coming in at 6’5, 322 pounds, Darian Kinnard made a name for himself this season as one of the better tackles in this year’s draft class, only allowing 1 sack, 2 QB hits, and 4 QB hurries. In addition to this, Kinnard gained a pass-blocking grade of 87.8, alongside a run-blocking grade of 91.8.

Whether it be his massive frame, powerful hands, or his elite capabilities as a run blocker, there is a lot to like about Kinnard. However, just like with any prospect, he has things he needs to work on.

For example, while Darian Kinnard certainly has powerful hands, he is not always the best with them, as he has the tendency to be late and wide with them. Alongside this, Kinnard also has the tendency to dip his head a little too low which can lead to him falling off of blocks.

Do not let this deter your perception of Darian Kinnard, however, as he has all the physical capabilities to improve not only his game but these issues as well.

If Kinnard manages to slip into the 3rd round and the NY Giants have yet to select a tackle, I believe he would be a very good option for the team.
