Free agency seems to have filled some of the New York Giants’ holes, and set GM Joe Schoen up to add elite talent at remaining needs during the 2022 NFL Draft

In last week’s New York Giants 7-round Mock Draft, the prevailing themes ended up being rebuilding through the trenches and making trades to stockpile picks.

But, a lot has changed since then, with the Giants getting active in free agency and plugging some holes. With the addition of veteran guard Mark Glowinski and center Jon Feliciano, the Giants’ offensive line is rounding into form a bit, and perhaps there is less incentive to take as many offensive linemen this time around.

Of course, I remain a big believer in taking the best player available – but also in attempting to maneuver into a draft position where the best player available matches the areas that are most in need of assistance.

The New York Giants also may be more interested in the safety position now after parting ways with defensive leader Logan Ryan.

With those changes in mind since last week, let’s hop into the first round!
