New York Giants Mock Draft: GM Joe Schoen and Head Coach Brian Daboll
Giants General Manager Joe Schoen and Giants new head coach, Brian Daboll pose for a photograph, in East Rutherford, NJ. Will the duo orchestrate some draft weekend trades, as they did in this New York Giants mock draft? Monday, January 31, 2022 /

Round 6, Pick No. 185: TRADE

The board was teeming with running backs, which left us with a couple of choices. Reach for a non-RB, draft another mid-round running back, or trade back and add a pick. I’m never reaching, and taking another halfback didn’t excite me much, so I chose option three.

GIANTS RECEIVE: Round 6, Pick No. 188 and Round 7, Pick No. 235.

JAGUARS RECEIVE: Round 6, Pick No. 185.

In this deal, the Giants give up 15.8 points of value on the draft trade chart, and get back 15.6 points. Usually we like to win those, but it’s close enough, and gets us out of reaching or wasting a pick.
