Round 6, Pick No. 208: Josh Rivas, G, Kansas State

Rivas is a project lineman who projects best as a guard, but might be able to develop to play the tackle position as well at 6’6, 320 pounds. He needs to work on his footwork and avoid getting himself off balance.

He also plays the position a bit too much on the defensive. However, he’s got good strength and coordination and works hard. He’s got the right combination of traits to be an effective run-blocker.

If the New York Giants pick up a player like Rivas in the later rounds, he’d be able to provide future competition along the offensive line and likely develop into either a fringe starter or a quality backup.
