OG Zion Johnson, Boston College:

Similar to Ekwonu, Zion Johnson is a player who I have praised time and time again since I have began my draft evaluations, as I believe he has what it takes to become a star in this league. Whether the NY Giants decide to trade back deep into the first round, or hope he falls to them in the 2nd round, I believe they should to what they can to draft the talented guard.

If the New York Giants end up drafting a tackle with one of their top 10 picks, which is likely the plan, the only gap they’d have left on the offensive line would be the left guard position, which could be filled by Zion Johnson.

Zion Johnson is an elite two way offensive lineman prospect, as he has tremendous ability as both a run and pass blocker. Using his impressive combination of agility and strength, Zion Johnson makes life a living nightmare for opposing defenders in his way.

If the New York Giants can add Johnson to an offensive line that already features Andrew Thomas, Jon Feliciano, Mark Glowinski, and potentially Ikem Ekwonu, the rebuild of the NY Giants offensive line may not take as long as expected.
