TE Isaiah Likely, Coastal Carolina
With the loss of both Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, and Kaden Smith, the NY Giants TE room is looking a little empty, with the only NFL caliber TE being Ricky Seals-Jones.
Due to this lack of depth at the position, it is likely that the New York Giants look towards the draft to add some better skill to the position.
Isaiah Likely could fill the New York Giants’ dire need at tight end.
Likely has been my favorite TE prospect to study, as he has so much potential to be a great all around TE in the NFL.
In 13 games played this season, Likely caught 59 passes for 912 yards and 12 TD’s, while also being a very solid blocker. While Likely certainly has some things to work on with his ability as a blocker, he still has a ton of potential in that aspect.
In 77 targets, Likely only dropped 1 pass, a big change from Engram.
Regardless of whether or not Isaiah Likely reaches his potential as a blocker, he will still be a deadly receiver for the team, as his route running and ability as an open field runner is something special, not to mention the threat he provides in the red-zone, an area in which the NY Giants struggled mightily.
Adding a TE of Isaiah Likely’s talent to the current NY Giants TE room would be a huge boost to the offense, which is why I believe the NY Giants should do what they can to select him.
