Round 2, pick No. 36: OG Zion Johnson, Boston College

Zion Johnson is a prospect whom I have praised time and time again since I have begun my draft analysis. This is because I believe Zion Johnson is not only a first-round talent but quite possibly the most underrated offensive lineman in the draft.

While this could cause him to be selected in the first round, for the sake of positivity we will say that Zion Johnson falls to the NY Giants in the second round.

Coming in at 6’3, 316 pounds, Zion Johnson just finished a monster season at Boston College, gaining a pass-blocking grade of 81.6, alongside a run-blocking grade of 84.4 per, PFF.

Whether it be his tremendous combination of power and speed, his two way ability as both a great pass and run blocker, or his fantastic technique, there is a lot to like about Zion Johnson.

If the New York Giants are able to add Zion Johnson to an offensive line that already features Andrew Thomas, Jon Feliciano, Mark Glowinski, and potentially Ikem Ekwonu, the rebuild of the Giants’ offensive line will go much faster than anticipated.
