The New York Giants, and general manager Joe Schoen enter the NFL Draft with nine picks, but could wheel and deal to maximize their bounty of assets

This turned out to be perhaps the most interesting and fun New York Giants mock draft I’ve done so far this year.

There were some cool trades, the Giants landed in different places in the draft and the board fell a bit differently, so the haul proved to be a bit different than I was expecting. Nevertheless, it might have been the best acquisition of talent I’ve seen so far in simulating this year’s draft for Joe Schoen and the New York Giants.

The priorities going in pretty much remained the same.

First, remember that the New York Giants need to rebuild and add a lot of talent, so maximizing draft capital is ideal.

Second, building through the trenches should be any winning organization’s modus operandi, and the Giants need help along the offensive line and rushing the passer.

Finally, don’t reach and take the best player available even if they aren’t at an ideal position.

Buckle up, because this New York Giants seven-round mock draft is a wild ride
