Nakobe Dean

Nakobe Dean was the backbone of Georgia’s National Championship defense this past season.

Dean had six sacks on the year with two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and 36 solo tackles.

He was an absolute force as a pass rusher and would be a powerful player to replace Carter with. While a bit inconsistent, that can be fixed with some NFL coaching.

As a 5’11 linebacker with a lower reach, that could be a concern with the Giants drafting him. He will still be drafted on day one or two, but this could still remain a concern.

With a 4.59 second 40 time as a linebacker, he still has the raw talent to be effective, but there are always some downsides.

Dean is a raw talent prospect that will find himself being drafted within the first round. New York would have to trade back to reasonably get him, but that would also give the Giants draft capital while getting a really solid player.

This move is not to be expected from the New York Giants, but it is a possibility if the Giants go out and trade back.

The Giants could get Dean if he slides, or if there is a trade to be made, but he still remains an option.
